Santiago joined Esguerra Asesores Jurídicos in September 2017. As a member of the Public Law and Dispute Resolution practice areas, he has advised and contributed in the representation of national and international clients in arbitration and judicial controversies of high complexity, especially in matters regarding public law.
Before that, Santiago worked as a member of the Plan Semilleros of the firm Gómez-Pinzón Zuleta, between February and September of 2017.
Santiago worked as a research assistant for Professor Julieta Lemaitre and Professor Daniel Bonilla, on matters related to constitutional law and comparative law. Additionally, he was an assistant in Introduction to Law, Constitution and Democracy, Commercial Law and Constitution and Economic Development. He was editor and director of UNA Revista de Derecho, a law journal, where he published several translations and jurisprudential documents on public law issues.
Santiago graduated in August 2018, with the academic distinction cum laude. He received an honorary recognition for his dissertation, titled “El derecho y desarrollo en la contratación estatal colombiana a finales del siglo XX.”
