PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Nicolas advises both national and international clients in matters concerning administrative law. Additionally, his practice is dedicated to both international and domestic arbitration as well as litigation in domestic courts in administrative matters.
Nicolas has experience in matters relating to private international law, commercial arbitration and investment arbitration.
Prior to joining Esguerra Asesores Jurídicos, Nicolas worked at Gómez-Pinzón Zuleta where he made part of a trainee program (“Plan Semilleros”) from September 2016-January 2017.
Nicolas made part of the winning team – both at a regional and a worldwide level – of the ELSA Moot Court on WTO Law in its 14th edition (2016). He also won the prize for the best overall written submissions at a regional level. Additionally, he was also a participant –and won- the first National Roman Law Moot Court in 2014.
Nicolas graduated in 2017 as first of his class and receiving an honorary recognition for his dissertation. He was included in the “Javeriana’s Merit Order” (Orden al Mérito Javeriano) for his career academic achievements. He also received, during his last year of studies in Law School, the “Posse, Herrera y Ruiz” scholarship for his academic performance.
Nicolas studies History at Javeriana University where he has been recognized with the Academic Excellence Scholarship for having obtained the highest GPA in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Hi is author of the book “Buena Fe y Teoría de la Causas: Usos Respecto de la Protección del Equilibrio Contractual en la Jurisprudencia: estudio comparativo” (2015) and has published some articles, both in matters regarding Law and History.
