Mr. Arriaga is a graduate from the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, where he was appointed the first Director of the Labor Law Clinic. He has been professor in Labor Procedural and Collective Labor Law at undergraduate programs, and Procedural Law professor at the post-graduate Procedural Law Program at the same University.
In addition, he held the office of Secretary to the Fourth Prosecutor’s Office of the Council of State, Regional Director at Cundinamarca and Bogota’s Labor Office and Justice at the Supreme Tribunal of Bogotá.
Since 1970, he has been dedicated to the professional practice, focusing on labor issues. Mr. Arriaga has experience of more than 35 years acting as an attorney in cassation procedures.
Recently, he has been designated Reserve Justice of the Supreme Tribunal of Bogotá and is also member of the arbitrators list sent by the Supreme Court to the Ministry of Labor.
Companies rely on Mr. Arriaga to guide them through multiple settlements regarding lists of demands. Additionally, he has been member of the Arbitral Tribunals dealing with collective labor cases.
